In the financial point of view, the initiation of ACA requires a big financial budget which ultimately leads to increased taxation in American whose income is in the pot above the 400% poverty line. In addition, companies are mandated to purchase health plans for employees. This ending has been hurting the business revenue and wealthy people’s interest which most are the republicans supporters. The Democrats party is looking at the bigger picture as how the ACA can fund itself after the big cost initiation and ultimately reduce the total cost in Medicare and Medicaid. The democrats party also prefers not to raise tax on the poor who are already struggling in living. Increasing insurance premium or tax would only reduce food to the table.
From the learning of the controversy in the ACA war and combining current political war between the two parties, I am amazed how the political fight shapes the American healthcare industry. From my background, I grew up in a society with a strong control of a single political party dominated government. In the government controlling issue, I have mixed feelings about it. At one point, I agree that strong government control can actually speed up the initiation and resource distribution. On the other side, a single government control can lead to corruption, uncontrolled compromise in quality and inhibition of business competitions which ultimately limits options for the population. To me the ideal way to increase insurance coverage is focusing on the affordability of health plans and universal coverage in wellness, emergency visit and prevention. There is another problem we are seeing in Massachusetts is providers anticipated hospitals. Patients are turned away when the insurance is not within the provider network and has caused delays in treatment. It will be helpful in legislation to clarify what type of urgent service should be under agreement to all health care providers regardless of health plans. I am hoping to see these two political parties be able to work together instead of passing a bill on its own, for the very time, in the consideration of the whole nation, work together, to make measures that really make America great again, not just an election slogan.

If you have not heard from me within 24 hours and need to contact me urgently, please send a follow up text to
I strongly encourage that you do not wait until the very last minute to complete your assignments. Your assignments in weeks 4 and 5 require early planning as you would need to present a teaching plan and interview a community health provider. I advise you look at the requirements for these assignments at the beginning of the course and plan accordingly. I have posted the YouTube link that explains all the class assignments in detail. It is required that you watch this 32-minute video as the assignments from week 3 through 5 require that you follow the instructions to the letter to succeed. Failure to complete these assignments according to instructions might lead to a zero. After watching the video, please schedule a one-on-one with me to discuss your topic for your project by the second week of class. Use this link to schedule a 15-minute session. Please, call me at the time of your appointment on my number. Please note that I will NOT call you.
Please, be advised I do NOT accept any assignments by email. If you are having technical issues with uploading an assignment, contact the technical department and inform me of the issue. If you have any issues that would prevent you from getting your assignments to me by the deadline, please inform me to request a possible extension. Note that working fulltime or overtime is no excuse for late assignments. There is a 5%-point deduction for every day your assignment is late. This only applies to approved extensions. Late assignments will not be accepted.

Plagiarism is highly prohibited. Please ensure you are citing your sources correctly using APA 7th edition. All assignments including discussion posts should be formatted in APA with the appropriate spacing, font, margin, and indents. Any papers not well formatted would be returned back to you, hence, I advise you review APA formatting style. I have attached a sample paper in APA format and will also post sample discussion responses in subsequent announcements.
Your initial discussion post should be a minimum of 200 words and response posts should be a minimum of 150 words. Be advised that I grade based on quality and not necessarily the number of words you post. A minimum of TWO references should be used for your initial post. For your response post, you do not need references as personal experiences would count as response posts. If you however cite anything from the literature for your response post, it is required that you cite your reference. You should include a minimum of THREE references for papers in this course. Please note that references should be no more than 5 years old except recommended as a resource for the class. Furthermore, for each discussion board question, you need ONE initial substantive response and TWO substantive responses to either your classmates or your instructor for a total of THREE responses. There are TWO discussion questions each week, hence, you need a total minimum of SIX discussion posts for each week. I usually post a discussion question each week. You could also respond to these as it would count towards your required SIX discussion posts for the week.
I understand this is a lot of information to cover in 5 weeks, however, the Bible says in Philippians 4:13 that we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. Even in times like this, we are encouraged by God’s word that we have that ability in us to succeed with His strength. I pray that each and every one of you receives strength for this course and life generally as we navigate through this pandemic that is shaking our world today. Relax and enjoy the course!

Initial Post
Watch this week’s videos and read the assignments in preparation for this discussion. You are encouraged to seek sources beyond the Learning Materials in Week 2 in this assignment.
While Republicans have not been unsuccessful so far in repealing the ACA, they have taken other steps to undermine it and have strongly opposed various Medicare for All proposals pending before Congress.
Democrats have proposed improvements in the ACA, and some have proposed the adoption of a “public” health insurance plan or adoption of a Medicare for All plan.
Using 500 to 750 words, write an initial post that describes the political alliances and positions by party and in the industry. In your analysis, include the financial arguments and the political/ideological arguments about the role of government versus the private sector changes that are intended to increase coverage. What do you think is the best way to improve health care coverage for all Americans? Why?
Cite additional sources beyond the Learning Materials for this week.
Replies
Reply to at least two of your classmates. In your reply, include new information related to your peer’s initial post or to the topic. Each reply should be 200 to 400 words. You should cite one to two sources in your reply posts that add new information in response to your classmate’s post.

There are two main political parties that run the United States government: Democratic and Republican. These two parties have very different views when it comes to how things should be run in America, including health care costs. In recent years, America has been running with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) created by the 44th president Barrack Obama (Garfield, 2019).
Democrats are in support of this act as it allows more Americans to obtain health insurance (Shi, 2019). Besides the ACA, democrats
are also in support of the idea of universal coverage. Universal coverage would give every American health care coverage under a government-run health care system (“Necessity, Uncertainty, and the ACA,” 2020). The ACA loosened eligibility requirements for Medicare and Medicaid as well as penalizing those who remained uninsured (Shi, 2019).
Republicans, on the other hand, want to repeal and replace the ACA. At the very least, they want to make changes to it such as implementing work requirements for Medicaid benefits(“Necessity, Uncertainty, and the ACA,” 2020). Another change they would like to implement is to throughout the provision of preexisting conditions affecting cost or access to coverage (Burns, 2020). Republicans are opposed to a single-payer system and prefer a free market, meaning health care services would be charged as goods like a profitable business (“Necessity, Uncertainty, and the ACA,” 2020).
In a perfect world, everyone would be covered under health insurance and receive quality care in a timely fashion. However, in reality, it seems as though we must choose between the two. For everyone to be covered under health insurance, it makes more sense for the health system to be run by the government. Yet, countries with universal coverage do not meet the quality of care that is given in the US. And to receive quality and timely care comes at a price that people can receive with their private health insurance through employers or out-of-pocket costs. This would be a lovely way for everyone to be protected, yet, not everyone can afford the premiums required to pay in order to receive this type of coverage. Maybe the best route is to combine the two plans somehow. If there was a way to provide coverage for all Americans and have everyone share the costs, at a reasonable rate, that would be the best of both worlds. This plan would be difficult to implement as the hard-working Americans would not take kindly to paying more taxes in order to insure a stranger. We could take the Republican idea of requiring some type of work plan for those receiving Medicaid benefits and combine that with the ACA’s idea of expanding Medicaid eligibility.
