DQ: Review the evidence-based practice project ideas you described in Topic 5 DQ 1
My research-based project concept is to establish a community education program that emphasizes stroke risk factor prevention. In order to promote responsibility for every new program, it is crucial to collect evidence and assess how it might enhance patient outcomes, health policies, services, and programs (DeNisco & Barker, 2016). Understanding the various research modalities and degrees of evidence is crucial when obtaining proof for any undertaking (Glasofer &Townsend, 2019). Quality, quantity, and consistency are three crucial factors that determine the strength of the evidence (Glasofer &Townsend, 2019). When choosing research for any issue, it should be high-quality study with reliable findings that are not biased or happen by accident (art). The amount of studies on a given issue, their size and population, and the effectiveness of the treatments can all be used to evaluate quantity (Glasofer &Townsend, 2019). When similar findings are discovered in a number of different research, this is known as consistency (Glasofer &Townsend, 2019).
Normally, while choosing research for a topic, I would choose subjects that are level one in the hierarchy of evidence.

RCT, a systematic review of an RCT, and a metanalysis of an RCT are these (Glasofer &Townsend, 2019). I would probably think about combining quantitative and qualitative research for this topic. Understanding how behavior affects changing health behaviors is crucial when working with prevention strategies, which is why it’s crucial to study both qualitative and quantitative studies.

of the various research methodologies and levels of evidence. The strength of the evidence must be taken into account while choosing the research methodology. Studies are consistently given levels of evidence based on the methodological quality of their validity, design, and application to patient care, which is sometimes referred to as the hierarchy of evidence (Glasofer & Townsend, 2021). To improve the efficacy of the research processes’ outcomes, a combination of qualitative and quantitative research procedures is always necessary. The procedures for data collecting and analysis must be followed when conducting quantitative research designs. The construction of valid, trustworthy, and transferable research outputs depends on the use of quantitative methodologies (Bansal et al., 2018). The researcher must take the hierarchy or level of evidence into consideration in order to choose an effective research study process.
As an advanced practice nurse, two stakeholders that are very important are the patient and their family and the physicians. Stakeholders can either support or resist changes that are part of improvement of an environment. Advanced practice nurses are known to serve patients in the community. Their career consists of all around patient care, so without patients, there wouldn’t be a need for advanced practice nurses. Nursing is very stressful, so the love for your job must be at the forefront. Along with taking care of patients, nurses should take time for self-care as well. One of my favorite sayings is you can’t pour from an empty cup. Years ago, I used to joke with one of my nursing colleagues, saying the hospital should provide spa certificates for the nurses. Physicians can be demanding as well, but patient satisfaction should be priority. Patients depend on the nurses and physicians to provide quality care. Advanced practice nurses are being pulled in multiple directions, which can lead to wear and tear on the body. A huge part that I feel is missing from nursing today is delegation. Some nurses try to be superwoman or superman and try to perform all of their tasks themselves. I am speaking from experience, I would rather perform the task myself, mainly because the people you have available to delegate to will usually get upset if you ask them to perform a simple task. Nurses have so many roles and tasks to fill, it can be overwhelming at times.
